Protected landscape area Waltenhofener Moor

The purpose of the protection is to,

preserve the wetland area of the Waltenhofen Moor, which is a reserve for a wide variety of bird species,
ensure the necessary habitat for this bird life, but also for the other animal species found there, including the necessary food sources and breeding opportunities, and to keep away disturbances,
preserve the peculiarity determined by the fauna and flora, but also the cultivated vegetation forms in the moor characterized by extensive use from destruction.
